All badges are promotional tools whether the wearer realizes it or not. You can get company identity badges made from a variety of materials, including plastic covered paper, plastic, acrylic, aluminum, brass, and steel. Although once popular, engraved brass and steel have now largely disappeared due to their weight on many modern synthetic suits and blouses. Some of the lightweight plastics are extremely attractive when new but are not always as durable as one would like.
